Cochran Statement on the 2016 Presidential Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss), chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today released the following statement congratulating President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence:

“I congratulate President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Pence on being chosen to lead this great country.  The people have voted for change and for leadership to deal with the serious challenges facing our nation.  Now in the great tradition of our American democracy, it is time to unite toward a common purpose.  I look forward to working with the new administration and my colleagues in the Senate to make our nation more secure and prosperous.”
