Chairwoman to Examine Budget Request in Light of Boston Marathon Bombings; Possible Impacts of Sequestration on FBI’s Mission
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) will hold a Commerce, Justice Science Subcommittee hearing THURSDAY, MAY 16, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. on the Federal Bureau of Investigation fiscal year 2014 budget request. Senator Mikulski will focus on the FBI’s response to the Boston Marathon bombings, what went right and what lessons can be learned from the investigation. She will also explore the impact of sequestration on the ability of the FBI to keep the nation safe from future attacks.
