Senate Passes Continuing Funding Resolution to Reopen Government

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Senate today approved H.R. 2775, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2014, to fund the government from October 1, 2013 through January 15, 2014, by a vote of 81 to 18. The legislation also extends the debt limit through February 7, 2014. The Senate bill now goes to the House for its immediate consideration.
